Apart from the online slots, my second love is the blackjack table. The reason for this is the game’s simplicity. I find craps, poker and all the rest of the card games a bit hard to follow and even harder to master to the point where I’m making some cash, but blackjack is so simple. They even made a movie about it! Here are a few tips I picked up from the newsletter that gets sent to me every now and then from Casino Rewards. If you sign up with any of the online casinos I’ve mentioned in this site, you’ll automatically receive the same newsletter, packed with promotions and tips to help you hit those jackpots!
Blackjack is a simple game to play and using some basic rules, the house advantage can be reduced to as little as 0.5%. There is a lot of information available on the Internet regarding the Basic Strategy, so I won't go into it here. What I will say however, is that you need a solid betting strategy such as the one I favour – use the casino's money to increase your original bet.
1st hand: If you play a hand and win, take the profit. E.g. Bet $25 and win, keep the $25 payout
2nd hand: Then play the next hand and if you win again, chip up by one unit. E.g. Bet $25 and win again, double the bet to $50
3rd hand: Then play the next hand and win, chip up one unit and keep the profit. E.g. Win $100 from previous hand, Keep original $50 and add $25 onto the bet for a total of $75. You keep $25
4th hand: Play, win and chip up one it. E.g. Win $150 from previous hand. Keep original $75 and add $25 onto the bet for a total of $100. You keep $50.
Future hands: Continue until you reach a limit you are comfortable with. If you lose just start again from the beginning.
In essence, you will have a $75 profit, $100 on the bet and be risking nothing as you have already taken your initial investment back on the first hand.
The best thing with this strategy is that if the house has a run of losses and you are on that run to capitalise, you will be able to clean up!
